How I use AI
AI tools (including large language models) are part of my workflow. I use them to help with research, analysis, drafting, and productivity across my venture capital and consulting work. This includes tasks such as:
- Summarising documents and market research
- Drafting initial versions of written content
- Analysing data and identifying patterns
- Supporting due diligence and deal evaluation
- Building and maintaining this website
In all cases, outputs are reviewed, edited, and approved by me before being shared, published, or acted upon.
AI-generated content on this site
Some content on this website may have been drafted, edited, or refined with the assistance of AI tools. This includes written copy, code, and design elements. I take responsibility for everything published here regardless of how it was produced.
Your submissions and AI
If you submit a pitch deck or other materials through this site, I may use AI tools to assist in reviewing or analysing them. When I do:
- Your materials are not used to train any AI model.
- I use commercially licensed AI services that have data processing agreements in place.
- Any AI-assisted analysis forms part of my evaluation process, not a substitute for it. Investment and business decisions are always made by me.
If you have concerns about AI being used in the review of your submission, let me know at hello@tombentley.uk and I'll accommodate where possible.
Limitations of AI
AI tools can produce inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information. I'm aware of these limitations and treat AI outputs as a starting point, not a conclusion. Nothing on this site should be relied upon as professional, financial, or legal advice, whether or not AI was involved in producing it.
Transparency
I believe in being upfront about AI use. If you're ever unsure whether something was AI-assisted or want to know more about how I use these tools, just ask. I'm happy to discuss it.
